Ha, knapp 11 und 10 Minuten Stunden dauert es, bis das neue OS fürs iPhone erhältlich ist (soviel ich weiss soll es um 09.00 Uhr erhältlich sein…). Mit dem Update kommen diverse Verbesserungen, am meisten freie ich mich allerdings auf Copy/Paste. Auch endlich MMS senden und empfangen zu können finde ich ganz chic. Nicht, dass ich das wirklich vermisst habe seit ich mein iPhone habe. Nein, deswegen wurde man einfach immer belächelt – weil jedes Handy kann das doch – oder? Nein, eben nicht…zumindest bis morgen.

Ein Update ist doch sowieso etwas schönes! Ich war es mich ja seit jeher gewohnt, dass von zeit zu Zeit Windowsupdates installiert werden müssen. Ich empfand das immer als lästig und die Verbesserungen waren (meist) nicht sicht- oder spürbar. Seit ich mich aber zu den Mac-Jüngern zähle, hat sich das geändert. Ich freue mich über jedes Update! Denn bei Apple sehe ich wirklich, dass sich was verbessert und meist kommen neue Funktionen dazu. Das ist beim iPhone nicht anders als beim OSX.

Hier die Liste der neuen Funktionen welche morgen mit dem Update auf die Version 3 des OS aufs iPhone geladen werden:

102. Improved scrubbing speeds when holding white dot in song progress bar in iPod
103. When sending a text, your text box where you typed smoothly fades from white to green instead of instantly changing from white to green.
104. When moving an app across homescreens, holding the app on either the left or right side will slowly advance the app one through one homescreen at a time, without leaving empty spots in the bottom right corner or each homescreen it advances through.
105. Album name displayed on lockscreen iPod controls
106. Shake to shuffle on lockscreen iPod controls
107. Podcasts saved on iPhone now show Run Time, Time Left and Date Published
108. Screen goes from dimmed to full brightness after each song when playing the iPod while plugged in
109. WAVE file support in Mail
110. Attachment no longer automatically downloaded until user taps the attachment in Mail
111. When using a bluetooth headset with iPod, volume bar is removed and bluetooth headset name is displayed in its place.
112. A hard reset on your phone (holding sleep and home for 10 seconds) now turns it off instead of restarting it.
113. A space is no longer needed between two words for predictive texting to function.

Jene Neuerungen welche ich besonders gut finde habe ich mal fett markiert.

Wer sich jetzt fragt, ob er beim 3G bleiben soll oder ob er sich das 3G S anschaffen will, sollte es sich einmal den Artikel beim Apfelblog anschauen.

Ich werde ziemlich sicher noch einige Zeit beim 3G bleiben – es sei denn etwas unvorhergesehenes passiert… 😉
